All proceeds from the event will go towards 4 organizations who are also working to help their community grow – Imagine Hillsboro, the MOVE program for Veterans, an Atlas 46 Scholarship Fund, and a Veterans Prison Ministry program.  Not only will funds go towards these programs, but Atlas is committing time and resources to help develop these programs.

We hope you enjoy the day!

All proceeds from this event are going to the following groups:

MOVE program for Veterans - It is an 8-week Weight Management class that the Veterans get to take for free at Fusion.  It incorporates 1.5 hours – 2 times a week for 8 weeks.  During that 1.5 hours, we meet in a classroom style setting and discuss nutrition, healthy plate, eating out/restaurant tips, cholesterol, fats, healthy snacks, etc.  Then we also spend the other ½ of that doing exercise in the facility.  This includes Pool, Cardio Room instructed activities, Cardio and weights in the Group exercise room or gym, walking on the track, etc – all which is organized by the instructor.  I recently instructed the last class.  This is program we offer about 2 times a year.

Imagine Hillsboro is a great, motivated group of people who have various committees to do great things in Hillsboro.  They are working with CTI to bring fiber here.  They are doing the dog park, they put on numerous activities throughout the year such as Harvest Market, Christmas Market, Daddy-Daughter Dance, golf tourneys, help with Summer Concert Series at lake and Boat Regatta, do clean-ups around Hillsboro 2 times a year and many volunteer projects to paint and update areas.  They are a great group and always fundraising so they can do many other great things around the community.

Atlas 46 Scholarship Fund - this is a new scholarship fund being developed to help the youth of Hillsboro with their future endeavors.   This will work in coordination with the high school program being developed which encompasses teaching the full process of creating, marketing, designing, sewing, and selling of a product.   This product will be sold on the Atlas 46 site and a portion of the proceeds will go to this scholarship fund.

Veteran Prison Ministry Project - this is a new project in development stage to help incarcerated veterans learn skills to  help them move into the workforce upon release from prison.  Atlas 46 will work with the prison on setting up a design, marketing and sewing program to teach them these skills and actually develop a product which will be sold in Atlas 46.  A portion of the proceeds of this product will go back into programs for the Veterans.
